This book provides a detailed summary and overview of the Israel and Palestine conflict. It includes important concepts and arguments of the conflict. It takes you through every stage and gives readers a better understanding about the history of the conflict.I used this book to learn in greater detail about certain events which were important to this conflict. I learned in detail about the 1936 Rebellion by the Arabs through the use of this book.

This book is about the conflict betweenIsrael and Palestine. It is broken into three sections, Background History, Pre-Conflict, and Conflict. The reader is walked through the early upbringing as well as the recent issues of this conflict. It was helpful to understand the basic history and key concepts that shaped this conflict. I was able to elaborate about the political movement, Zionism and the upbringing of it, through the explanation provided by the author of this book.

This website covers everything about this conflict from the statistics to the history, current situation, U.S. interests, and media analysis. This website is very informative and can answer any question or concern you have about this conflict.

This link will direct you to a campaign called “Be on Our Side” which is a media and education project promoting a positive, productive U.S. policy toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Furthermore, it has all the information you need to be informed about this conflict.This website will provide you with certain accepts which the media eludes and the creators of this campaign wish for their audience and the world to understand the truth behind certain aspects of this conflict.

This picture shows a time line from 2000-2013 and the amount of palestinian and israeli killed. It also states events which occurred causing the most casualties. As seen by this picture you can see the amount of violence that still exists almost a century later. Also its noticeable that the amount of palestinian killed compared to Israeli is substantially large. 

This image is showing a missile being launched by Israel in order to intercept incoming missiles from Gaza in the port town of Ashdod. Missiles being fired is quite common between the Hamas and the Israel army. Many innocent women and children often get caught in the crossfire resulting in many deaths or injuries.

In this image violence flares as a palestinian protestor throws a stone towards Israeli troops during clashes in the west bank city of Hebron. Fires and violence in the street as seen in the picture is something I never experienced and for it to be common there is very sad and not acceptable. 

In this image there is extremely young palestinian boys dressed in uniforms holding very dangerous weapons.

This youtube video is an animation going over the history the geopolitical event. It illustrates the basic outline of the conflict and proposes a possible solution which involves the public to speak up and educate the world about the conflict. 

The following are questions I was asked about my research.

What draws you to your topic?

This topic was most intriguing to me because it has been an ongoing Issue for almost a century. I became curious as to why this conflict has been existent for such a long time. Also, I have friends from both Israel and Palestine and they have shared their opinions on this conflict to me previously which made me interested to be informed with the actual situation so I can form my own opinion. Furthermore, It was upsetting to me that I didn't have much knowledge on such an important geopolitical event and wanted to do research so I would be informed of the history, who has been affected by it, and which countries have involved themselves into this conflict. Lastly, I was drawn to this topic to figure out if there was a solution that even existed since peace hasn't been made since the birth of this conflict. 

Do you care about your research?

My research was very informative and I very much so care about it. I’ve been researching for about four months now and have attained a much greater understanding on this conflict. The amount of knowledge I obtained has opened my eyes to many things. My research originally started with a bunch of articles finding similar ideas the media portrayed about this conflict. From there, I moved on to more scholarly sources such as books and journal entries.This is where I learned that the media can misguide their audience to have an understand that they want them to have. Overall Ive put in a lot of time and effort digging deep into this conflict understanding the root and current issue and to say I care about it is an understatement.

Do you care about this project that it has the potential to change peoples view on your geopolitical situation?

After all my research my goal is now for people that do not have much knowledge like myself to get a better understanding about the geopolitical event. There is a lot of information that I was unaware of prior to my research and it changed my view on this conflict, so I believe this should be noticed by the public as well because this conflict is very serious and dates back very far and the amount of innocent lives which have been affected due to the violence that this conflict arrises is unfair and  It should not be looked over. I hope with my project people will change their view and will realize its not okay for this conflict to still exist. There needs to be a lot more effort to find a solution to this horrific conflict and to finally make peace, but it all begins with the public and outside influence. 

Content Of This Blog

As our generation progresses into this information age, blogs compared to "old-school" newspapers are a better way in promoting ideas or current events to the world. That being said my blog will provide knowledge about this ongoing conflict to anyone who who is unaware of the severity of this issue. My blog will stress the importance to understand this conflict between Israel and Palestine. Not only to understand the history of this conflict, but also the importance for peace to be made in the region this conflict takes place. Once you obtain knowledge of the situation, you will realize that something needs to be done. I will illustrate the violence which occurs visually through pictures and videos. In addition I will post links to websites and provide books which can further inform you on this conflict. 

Overview of the Conflict

Israel and Palestine have been in a ongoing conflict for almost a century. Yes that means this conflict dates back so far that it has been passed through generations! So that rises the question what is the root to this conflict? So, towards the end of the 1800‘s, Jewish people were promised land for a Jewish homeland in Palestine located in the Middle East. There was a political movement known as the Zionism to establish this homeland and attain sovereignty for their people. The land they chose to migrate to happened to a british mandate which was at the time Palestine. The Muslims already living in this region were furious that the jews were invading their communities. This is the start of the violence and a conflict which still exists almost a century later. Over the course of this conflict thousands upon thousands of lives have been taken  including innocent women and children and Israel has attained most of the land of original Palestine.
